Scoring Logic of TQ

Skillwise Tech Quotient Scoring Logic

Tech Quotient of User has been calculated as below based on "Algorithm Rating System":

Calculate average score of every user in the challenge whose Tech Quotient being calculated

Where NumCoders is the number of coders participated in the challenge and Score is the total score obtained from the challenge.

The challenge factor is calculated:

Where Volatility is the volatility of the coder in the challenge before the challenge.

Win Probability Estimation Algorithm:

Where Score1 & Vol1 are the score and volatility of the coder being compared to, and Score2 & Vol2 are the score and volatility of the coder whose win probability is being calculated. Erf is the "error function".

The probability of the coder getting a higher score than another coder in the challenge (WPi for i from 1 to NumCoders) is estimated.

The expected rank of the coder is calculated:

The expected performance of the coder is calculated:

Where Φ is the inverse of the CDF of the standard normal distribution.

The actual performance of each coder is calculated:

Where ARank is the actual rank of the coder in the challenge based on total score (1 for first place, NumCoders for last). If the coder tied with another coder, then we give higher rank to that user who have maximum code marks, maximum mcq marks, minimum attempt count, minimum time taken.

The performed as score of the coder is calculated:

The weight of the challenge for the coder is calculated:

The new score of the coder is calculated:

Percentile Calculation:

A percentile is a measure that tells us what percent of the total frequency scored at or below that measure. A percentile rank is the percentage of scores that fall at or below a given score.

Formula:

To find the percentile of a score x, out of a set of n scores, where x is included:

Where B = number of scores below x

Winners Calculation Logic

  • Winners will be decided on monthly basis
  • Winner will be the person whose Tech Quotient change is maximum in a particular month. Tech Quotient Change of a user is the sum of Tech Quotient increase for all the skills in a month.
  • No of winners in a particular month will be decided by the TechGig.

Referral Points Calculation & Winners Logic

Referal points for each day of a user will be calculated on the following basis:

  • Number of unique referral invitations sent by the user. Each invitation sent will be given 2 points.
  • Number of invitations clicked by referred friends. Each invitation clicked will add additional 5 points to the user who sent invitation.
  • Number of Referred friends registered on techgig after clicking on invitation link. After registration will add additional 50 points to the user who sent invitation.

The referral invitation count is tracked on a day-to-day basis. The user with the maximum number of referral points on a day is awarded with the Gift Voucher.

In case there is a tie up between two or more candidates then :

  • Winner will be the highest points earned after registration of referred friends will be considered.
  • If still there is a tie in above condition then winner will be the highest points earned from invitation clicked by the referred friends will be considered.
  • If still there is a tie in the above both conditions then winner will be the highest points earned by unique invitations sent will be considered.

This referral policy ends on . All the conversions received after the end date will not be considered.

* Maximum limit for number of invites in a day by a user is 500.

* User updated scores will get refreshed after half an hour.

Overall Referal points will be the sum of total points earned by a user till date.
